Daprica

Daprica M Forte 5/10

Composition

Description

Dapagliflozin is an inhibitor of SGLT2. They inhibit reabsorption of glucose (70 to 80 gm per day) in the kidney and therefore lower blood sugar by inhibiting sodium-glucose transport protein 2 (SGLT2). Dapagliflozin also reduces sodium reabsorption and increases the delivery of sodium to the distal tubule. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.
